Undersleeve for knee guard K 035

Stretch undersleeves for knee braces and guards

The Acerbis K035 undersleeves are designed to form a comfortable contact layer between the rider’s skin and a knee brace or guard. They help reduce friction, pressure points and skin irritation caused by prolonged riding, intensive movement and repeated contact with fastening straps.

Their close-fitting construction follows the shape of the leg without creating unnecessary folds or restricting normal knee movement. The undersleeves are designed primarily for use with the Acerbis K035 knee guards, but they can also be worn underneath other suitably shaped knee braces and protectors.

Reduced friction between the protector and skin

The straps, buckles and inner sections of knee guards can rub repeatedly against the rider’s skin. This becomes particularly noticeable during longer motocross sessions, technical enduro riding or disciplines that require frequent movement between seated and standing positions.

The undersleeves create a continuous textile layer between the leg and the protective equipment. This reduces direct contact with straps and protector edges and supports more comfortable use of knee braces throughout the ride.

Their long construction covers the thigh, knee and upper calf—the areas where knee guards and their fastening straps are usually positioned.

Stretch fit supporting knee movement

A combination of polyester, nylon and elastane allows the undersleeves to adapt to the shape of the leg and move together with it. The fabric stretches as the knee bends and returns towards its original shape when the leg straightens.

The close fit helps prevent material from gathering underneath the protector. Fewer folds also reduce the risk of pressure points developing after the knee brace or fastening straps have been tightened.

The thin construction does not add excessive bulk, allowing the undersleeves to be worn underneath closely adjusted knee protectors and motocross trousers.

Moisture management during active riding

The synthetic fabric helps move moisture away from the skin and dries faster than conventional cotton materials. This supports a more comfortable feel during physically demanding riding and reduces prolonged contact between the skin and the perspiration retained inside a knee protector.

The material is suitable for year-round use. In warmer conditions it supports moisture transfer, while in colder weather it reduces direct contact between the skin and cold plastic or metal brace components.

The undersleeves can also be combined with other motorcycle technical base layers.

Non-slip upper section

The upper part features a wide elastic band with a silicone print. This increases grip against the skin or base layer and helps prevent the undersleeve from sliding down towards the knee.

A stable position supports both comfort and correct protector placement. Gathered material could create pressure points or interfere with the position of the knee-brace straps.

The elastic upper band holds the undersleeve against the thigh without additional fasteners.

More comfortable knee-brace use

The smooth surface makes the knee brace easier to put on and allows its internal sections to move against the textile layer instead of rubbing directly against the skin. This is particularly useful with rigid articulated knee guards fitted with several fastening straps.

The undersleeves are suitable for motocross, enduro, off-road riding and mountain biking. They can be used for training, racing and longer recreational rides where the protective equipment remains on the legs for several hours.

The undersleeves are not impact protectors and do not replace a knee brace or certified knee guard. Their purpose is to improve comfort and create a functional layer between the rider’s skin and protective equipment.

Washable and reusable construction

The undersleeves can be washed after riding and used repeatedly. Regular washing helps remove perspiration and dirt transferred from the rider’s skin, knee guards or the inside of riding trousers.

Care should follow the instructions shown on the product label. The undersleeves should be completely dry before the next use.
