Articulated knee guards for motocross and enduro

The Acerbis Impact Pro knee guards are designed for riders who need protection for the knee, shin and lower thigh without unnecessary restriction of movement. They combine a rigid external shell, high-density EVA padding and a dual-hinge system that follows the bending movement of the leg.

The construction is suitable for motocross, enduro and other forms of off-road riding where the legs are exposed to impacts, flying stones and contact with the motorcycle. The extended protective sections provide broad coverage while allowing natural movement when riding seated or standing on the footpegs.

Rigid knee, shin and lower-thigh protection

The external shell covers the front of the knee, the shin and the lower part of the thigh. Rigid polypropylene creates a protective barrier between the leg and the surrounding terrain and helps distribute direct impact force across a larger area.

The extended upper section covers the area above the knee, while the long lower shell protects a substantial part of the shin. The individual sections are connected to maintain coverage as the leg bends.

High-density EVA padding

The internal surface features shaped high-density EVA padding. It helps absorb impact energy and separates the rigid shell from the rider’s leg, improving comfort during extended use.

The padding also supports a stable fit and reduces direct pressure from the hard protective sections against the knee and shin. This combines a rigid external structure with a softer contact layer.

Ergonomic dual-hinge system

The dual-hinge system allows the upper and lower sections to move together with the leg. As the knee bends, the individual parts follow its movement and help keep the protective surfaces correctly positioned.

The articulated construction reduces resistance when switching between seated and standing riding positions. It allows the guards to move more naturally when cornering, shifting body weight or controlling the motorcycle through technical terrain.

Ventilation through integrated air channels

The perforated shells contain integrated air channels. These openings promote airflow around the knee and shin and help release heat that builds up underneath the guards during physically demanding riding.

The ventilated construction improves comfort during longer training sessions, racing and warm-weather use.

Three adjustable straps

The guards are secured with three elastic straps. Each strap can be adjusted independently according to the rider’s leg and the clothing worn underneath.

Quick-release clips make the guards easier to put on and remove without changing the selected strap length each time. Three fastening points reduce unwanted movement and help keep both the upper and lower sections close to the leg.

The straps should be tightened firmly enough to maintain a stable fit without restricting knee movement or circulation.
