ACERBIS ADV TYPE L HANDGUARDS FOR SUZUKI V-STROM 800 DE

The Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE combines long road journeys with gravel routes and riding beyond paved surfaces. Acerbis ADV Type L handguards therefore protect the rider’s hands from wind and debris while also shielding the levers and master cylinders from direct mechanical contact. The model-specific design is intended for the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE 2023–2025.

TWO PROTECTIVE ELEMENTS IN ONE SYSTEM

A strong aluminium backbone forms a closed loop in front of the brake and clutch levers. Large plastic covers are attached to this structure to create a broad protective area in front of the rider’s hands.

Each component performs a different function:

• the aluminium profile carries mechanical loads

• the plastic covers reduce exposure to wind and debris

• the wrap-around shape protects the levers and master cylinders

• the large surface provides increased hand coverage during touring

35 MM ANTICORODAL C-SECTION

A durable 35 mm C-section made from ANTICORODAL aluminium forms the structural core of the handguards. It runs in front of the controls and helps protect them during contact with branches, stones and other obstacles.

The closed design distributes loads through the structure, preventing the plastic cover from being the only barrier against mechanical contact.

LARGE HAND COVERS

The generously sized plastic shields help deflect airflow, rain, mud, dust and flying stones. Upper extensions increase the protected area, providing additional shelter at higher speeds, during long journeys and in changing weather conditions.

ADV Type L handguards are therefore useful not only away from paved roads, but also while touring when the hands remain exposed to wind and rain for extended periods.

FLEXIBLE LOWER ZONE

When riding in a standing position, the rider moves closer to the handlebar and the knees may contact the lower section of the handguards. This area is more flexible to help soften accidental contact without unnecessarily restricting active movement on the motorcycle.

FOR ROAD, GRAVEL AND LIGHT OFF-ROAD USE

Acerbis developed the ADV Type L for adventure riding and light off-road terrain. The strength of the wrap-around construction is also suitable for the demands associated with maxi-enduro, cross-country and more challenging enduro use.

The handguards correspond to the handlebar and control layout of the Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE 2023–2025. Their mounting system uses numerous standard components and offers simpler installation than Acerbis Endurance handguards.
