We have selected 5 models that riders reach for most often
Gloves are one of the most underestimated pieces of equipment. At the same time, it is the hands that take the most abuse in the off-road – vibrations from the handlebars, branches in the forest, rocks, mud and blisters after a long ride.
And just as there is no one universal motorcycle, there are no one universal gloves either.
What works on a dry MX track in the summer may not be suitable for hard enduro or autumn riding in the mud. Some people want maximum feel on the levers, others want joint protection or gloves that will last the whole weekend in the rain.
That is why we have selected 5 models that are among the best-selling and that make sense for different riding styles – from lightweight MX gloves to insulated enduro models for cold and wet conditions.

Acerbis MX P-VENTED 3.0

Maximum ventilation for hot days
MX P-Vented 3.0 are gloves for riders who don't want their hands to be completely sweaty after the first training session in the summer. Compared to classic MX gloves, they have significantly better ventilation and a very light feeling when holding the handlebars.
They make the most sense:
  • for motocross,
  • summer enduro,
  • cross-country,
  • fast training sessions in the heat.
The palm remains thin and sensitive to the levers, but the gloves fit well and do not restrict finger movement. Thanks to the ventilation, they are comfortable even during longer rides in the heat.

ACERBIS X-FLEX 2.0

Lightweight model with excellent feel on the handlebars
X-Flex 2.0 is one of the gloves that riders have liked mainly because of its comfort and very good feeling when riding. They are light, flexible and feel natural on the hands after the first wear.
They make the most sense:
  • for motocross,
  • regular enduro,
  • cross-country,
  • hobby riding throughout the season.
The gloves fit well on the hand, do not restrict the movement of the fingers and, thanks to the flexible material, they adapt nicely when holding the grips. The palm remains thin, so the rider has good contact with the levers and handlebars.
Comfort during longer rides is also a big advantage. The gloves do not press between the fingers and do not create unnecessarily hard transitions in the palm.

ACERBIS MX X-P 2.0

Lightweight model with good feel on the levers
MX X-P 2.0 are simple and very comfortable MX gloves that work well for regular riding and training.
A big plus is:
  • comfortable cut,
  • good feel on the grip,
  • minimal number of seams in the palm.
The gloves fit well on the hand and do not press even after a long ride. Silicone on the fingers helps especially when working with the clutch and front brake.
They are best suited to riders who want:
  • lightweight gloves,
  • good ventilation,
  • a natural feeling when riding.

MEFO RECOMMENDS AND ADVICE

Many riders are mainly concerned with protection, but during longer rides, comfort and whether the gloves do not form blisters are often more important.
Glove liners are also a great way to prevent blisters.

ACERBIS NEOPREN 3.0

For cold, rain and mud
As soon as rain, mud or a cold morning comes, thin MX gloves stop working. Your fingers quickly get cold and the feeling on the levers deteriorates significantly.
This is exactly what Neoprene 3.0 is designed for.
Neoprene retains heat well and protects your hands from cold wind and wetness. They are of course a little more robust than classic MX gloves, but in adverse weather the difference is huge.
Another advantage is the ability to control your phone or navigation without taking off your gloves.
They make the most sense:
  • in the fall,
  • winter riding,
  • wet enduro,
  • longer rides.

Acerbis CE X-Enduro

Enduro gloves with more protection
CE X-Enduro are designed mainly for riders who combine off-road and road crossings. Compared to pure MX gloves, they have better joint protection and a reinforced palm.
They are not as light as racing MX models, but they offer:
  • higher protection,
  • better resistance to falls,
  • greater comfort during longer rides.
They work well mainly:
  • for adventure,
  • travel enduro,
  • more technical enduro with crossings.
Pre-shaped fingers and minimal seams also help with all-day riding, when the gloves do not start to press.

WORKSHOP TIP:
If you alternate between forest, gravel and road crossings, CE X-Enduro is a more practical choice than pure racing MX gloves.

MEFO RECOMMENDS AND ADVICE

If you ride mainly in the summer or you hate heavy gloves, the P-Vented 3.0 is one of the most comfortable models for hot days.
If you are looking for universal gloves for most riding and do not want either an extremely thin racing model or heavy enduro gloves, the X-Flex 2.0 are a very good compromise between comfort, ventilation and motorcycle control.
In really cold or wet weather, neoprene gloves are one of the best investments in riding comfort.

How to choose the right gloves?
When choosing gloves, the most important thing is not the brand or appearance, but mainly the riding style.
  • On the MX track, most riders will appreciate light and well-ventilated gloves.
  • In hard enduro, grip and durability are more important.
  • For longer enduro or crossings, more hand protection makes sense.
  • And for winter or rain, neoprene gloves are almost a must.
Gloves should fit snugly, but should not be tight. They often loosen slightly while riding and adjust to your hands.
If you are unsure about your choice, we recommend trying the gloves on in person. The difference between individual models is often greater when holding the handlebars than it seems from the photos.

Summary
The right gloves can significantly improve comfort and safety while riding. You can often tell the difference between a thin MX model and wet enduro gloves after just a few kilometers.
If you ride mainly in the summer, most riders will appreciate lightweight and well-ventilated models. On the other hand, a more durable and insulated option is worth it for cold weather or longer rides.
The main thing is that the gloves fit well and do not restrict you in any way while riding.
