What to bring for motocross training
What to bring for motocross training | Checklist | MEFOWHAT TO TAKE TO A MOTOCROSS TRAINING SESSION
Ten minutes in the garage the evening before you leave is all it takes. Checking a few things on the bike and topping up the equipment box will save you plenty of trouble at the track.
Bike
- pressure in tyres
It is not just about pressure. Also check the condition of the knobs and sidewalls. A worn tyre can ruin the entire training session.
Correct tension, lubrication and a quick check of the rear and front sprockets.
- brakes
How much material is left on the pads? Are the discs damaged?
After a dusty training session, the filter should be cleaned and oiled. The quickest solution is to have a second one ready.
- fluids
- engine oil
- coolant
- brake fluid
- bolt tightness
- Handlebars, footpegs, levers, discs, plastics
- Fuel can.
Before leaving, check that you have enough fuel for the entire training session.
Toolbox
- socket set
- Allen keys
- tyre levers
- hand pump
- pressure gauge
- chain lubricant
- brake cleaner
- cable ties
- electrical tape
- spare spark plug
- rags
Rider gear
Worth packing
These are not essentials, but if you have them with you, you will probably use them sooner or later.
- spare levers
- second air filter
- second pair of goggles
- spare inner tube
- energy bar
- folding chair
- small first-aid kit
Is there anything you always bring that is missing from the list? Let us know. We will be happy to add it.
