Lightweight protective jacket for motocross, enduro and MTB

The Acerbis P035 is a lightweight protective jacket designed for motocross, enduro, mountain biking and other forms of off-road riding. Its flexible mesh construction follows the rider’s body, while integrated shoulder and elbow protectors provide certified Level 2 protection without bulky external shells.

The close-fitting design allows the jacket to be worn underneath motocross and enduro jerseys, including slim-fitting models. It protects the shoulders and elbows and can be combined with compatible chest, back or airbag protection.

Certified shoulder and elbow protection

The shoulder and elbow protectors are integrated directly into the stretch sleeves, keeping them close to the body as the arms move. The close fit reduces unwanted protector movement when changing position on the motorcycle, standing on the footpegs or controlling the handlebars through technical terrain.

Both protected areas comply with EN 1621-1:2012, Level 2. This protection level confirms the ability of the inserts to absorb impact energy under the prescribed laboratory testing conditions.

The jacket does not include chest or back protection. These areas can be covered by adding a compatible body protector, separate back protector or airbag system.

Flexible construction supporting natural movement

The elastic nylon mesh adapts to the rider’s body and moves together with it. The shoulders and elbows therefore remain protected while bending the arms, rotating the torso or shifting body weight on a motorcycle or bicycle.

Its low-profile design reduces bulk underneath the jersey. The P035 does not feel like a conventional heavy armoured shirt and leaves the upper body free to move naturally.

The close-fitting cut also helps stabilise the protective inserts without requiring separate straps around the arms.

Mesh construction supporting airflow

A large proportion of the jacket is made from open elastic mesh, allowing air to circulate continuously around the torso and arms. This helps release heat that builds up underneath the protection and jersey during intensive riding.

The ventilated construction is useful during longer motocross sessions, technical enduro riding, warm-weather use and physically demanding mountain biking. The limited amount of solid fabric also reduces the amount of material that can retain perspiration.

The P035 can be worn as a protective base layer underneath additional off-road equipment.

Front zip for convenient dressing

A full front zip allows the jacket to open completely, making it quick to put on and remove without pulling it over the rider’s head. This is also convenient when combining it with additional protective equipment.

The central zip does not interfere with the close positioning of the shoulder and elbow protectors. Once fastened, the jacket follows the body and forms a stable base for additional protective layers.

Designed for a modular protection system

The Acerbis P035 Jacket can be worn on its own or combined with additional protection. It is compatible with the P035 Race chest and back protector, a separate back protector or a compatible airbag system.

This modular design allows the level of coverage to be adapted to the riding discipline, weather and individual requirements. The jacket can be worn alone for shoulder and elbow protection or combined with certified chest and back protection for motocross and more demanding enduro riding.

The construction is also compatible with suitable neck braces. The complete setup should be tried on together before riding to make sure the individual components do not interfere with one another or restrict movement.
