The Acerbis DNA TT is a women’s chest and back protector shaped around the female anatomy for motocross, enduro and other off-road riding. Its soft multi-layer construction with three viscoelastic layers adapts to the body, maintains freedom of movement and supports ventilation. Both the chest and back sections provide certified Level 2 protection. Adjustable shoulder straps, elastic side bands and a waist belt allow the fit to be adapted to the rider. Show all
Women’s chest and back protector for motocross and enduro
The Acerbis Body Armour DNA TT is women’s upper-body protection designed around the female anatomy. It covers the chest and back using a soft multi-layer construction that follows the rider’s body and maintains the freedom of movement required for motocross, enduro, mountain biking and other off-road activities.
Pre-shaped chest protectors follow the contours of the female body and can therefore provide a more natural fit than conventional unisex models. Both the chest and back components provide certified Level 2 impact protection, while their low-profile construction avoids unnecessary bulk underneath a motocross jersey.

Anatomical construction for women
The chest protection is soft and pre-shaped to follow the female anatomy. The individual sections create more even contact with the body and help reduce the uncomfortable pressure that may occur with armour designed around male body proportions.
A closer fit also helps keep the protectors correctly positioned when leaning forward, controlling the handlebars and changing position on the motorcycle. Hook-and-loop shoulder adjustment and elastic side straps allow the construction to be adapted to different body shapes.
The protector is designed for women approximately 150 to 180 cm tall. This range provides general guidance, and the actual coverage of the chest and back must always be checked.
Three viscoelastic layers
The protective components use three layers of viscoelastic material combined with semi-rigid external biofoam. Each layer has different properties, and together they help absorb and distribute impact energy.
The viscoelastic material remains soft and flexible during normal movement. It can therefore adapt to the torso and move with the rider. During an impact, it helps reduce the amount of energy transferred to the body.
The semi-rigid outer layer stabilises the construction, protects the softer internal materials and improves resistance during regular use. This combines flexibility and a low profile with certified impact protection.
Certified Level 2 chest protection
The chest protector complies with EN 1621-3, Level 2. This standard evaluates the protector’s ability to reduce the force transmitted to the chest during a specified laboratory impact.
Level 2 is the higher of the two protection levels defined by this standard. Certification confirms that the protector has passed the corresponding energy-transmission tests.
For correct function, the front component must cover the centre of the chest and remain correctly positioned while riding. The shoulder and side adjustments should therefore be set before putting on a jersey or additional equipment.
Certified Level 2 back protection
The back component is certified to EN 1621-2, Level 2. Its soft construction follows the curvature of the back and creates less resistance when leaning forward than a large one-piece rigid plastic shell.
The low-profile protector can be worn close to the body. Correct positioning helps keep it over the spinal area when riding seated, standing on the footpegs or moving actively through technical terrain.
A certified back protector helps reduce transmitted impact energy but cannot prevent every type of injury. The protective components should be checked after a significant fall and must not be used if damaged.
Open sides supporting airflow
There are no large fabric panels between the chest and back components. Open sides leave much of the torso uncovered and allow air to circulate around the body.
This helps reduce heat and moisture build-up during longer rides, motocross sessions and technical enduro. It is also beneficial in warmer conditions, when a complete mesh armoured jacket may create a greater thermal load.
The open construction also provides space for adjusting the circumference with elastic side straps.
Flexibility and freedom of movement
The soft chest and back protectors move together with the rider’s body. She can lean forward, rotate the torso and shift body weight without the significant resistance of extensive rigid shells.
The protector does not include integrated shoulder or elbow protection. The arms therefore remain unrestricted for handlebar control, and separate certified protectors can be added where required.
Its low-profile construction is suitable for wearing underneath a motocross jersey. Outer clothing must not be so tight that it deforms the protectors or pushes them away from their intended position.
Adjustable shoulder straps
The height of the front and rear protectors can be adjusted using hook-and-loop shoulder straps. This allows the total length to be adapted to the rider and positions the protective components at the correct height.
The front section should cover the centre of the chest, while the rear protector should follow the spinal area. Both straps should be adjusted evenly to prevent the construction from leaning towards one side.
Hook-and-loop fastening provides continuous adjustment rather than a limited number of fixed positions. After adjustment, check that the fastening surfaces are fully engaged.
Elastic side straps
Elastic side straps bring the front and rear components closer to the body and help stabilise their position. The circumference can be adapted to different body proportions and clothing layers.
Their elasticity allows natural chest movement during breathing. The protector should fit closely without creating uncomfortable pressure or restricting torso movement.
Before every ride, check that the components do not move significantly when leaning forward, rotating the body or controlling the handlebars.
Removable elastic waist belt
An elastic waist belt can be used to stabilise the lower part of the protector. The belt is adjustable in both length and position, allowing it to be adapted to the rider and the selected wearing configuration.
It helps hold the back protector close to the body and reduces upward movement when leaning forward or standing on the footpegs. The belt can be removed where the protector remains sufficiently stable using the other adjustment components.
When used, the belt must not be tightened to the point where it restricts breathing or creates uncomfortable pressure around the torso.
Neck-brace compatibility
The low thickness and flexibility of the chest and back components support use with a suitable motorcycle neck protector.
The helmet, neck protector and body armour should be tried on together before riding. The individual components must not push against one another or restrict normal head rotation, flexion or extension.
Compatibility also depends on the particular neck-protector model, shoulder-strap adjustment and the rider’s body proportions.
Padded side sections
Soft padding extends coverage around the sides of the torso and improves comfort where the protector contacts other equipment.
The manufacturer does not list this padding as a separately certified EN 1621 impact protector. It should therefore not be described as certified hip or side protection.
One adjustable size
The Acerbis DNA TT is produced in one adjustable size corresponding approximately to S through XL. The manufacturer recommends it for riders approximately 150 to 180 cm tall.
This range is achieved through adjustable shoulder straps, elastic side bands and the waist belt. Rider height is only a general guide and does not replace checking the actual fit.
A correctly adjusted protector must cover the intended areas of the chest and back and remain positioned during movement. Where this cannot be achieved using the available adjustment, the model is not suitable for the rider’s body shape.
