Complete body armour for motocross and enduro
The Acerbis Korazza Body Armour is a lightweight upper-body protector designed for motocross, enduro and other demanding off-road disciplines. It combines chest, back, shoulder and elbow protection in one close-fitting system, eliminating the need to put on and adjust several separate protective components.
Its construction combines rigid polypropylene panels, soft EVA padding, memory-foam protectors and flexible mesh fabric. This provides certified Level 1 protection while maintaining the freedom of movement required for handlebar control, changing between seated and standing positions and shifting body weight through technical terrain.

Protection for the main areas of the upper body
The Korazza protects the chest, back, shoulders and elbows. The individual components are connected by a flexible structure that helps keep them correctly positioned during movement.
Chest and back panels cover the front and rear of the torso, while soft shoulder and elbow protectors extend coverage to the arms. Close-fitting sleeves follow arm movement and reduce unwanted protector movement during active riding.
All four protected areas meet Level 1 requirements.
Anatomically shaped chest protection
The front section uses rigid polypropylene panels shaped to follow the anatomy of the chest. The segmented construction helps distribute direct impact force across a larger surface while reducing unnecessary resistance as the rider leans forward or rotates the torso.
Soft EVA padding is positioned underneath the plastic components. It separates the rigid panels from the body, helps absorb transferred energy and reduces pressure from hard edges against the chest.
The front protective section complies with EN 1621-3:2018, Level 1.
Segmented back protector
The back protector consists of connected plastic plates that follow the curvature of the rider’s back. Its segmented construction adapts more naturally to forward lean, torso rotation and changes of position than a single rigid shell.
The polypropylene panels help distribute impact force, while the underlying EVA layer improves comfort and creates a softer contact surface between the protector and the body.
The back section complies with EN 1621-2:2014, Level 1.
Soft shoulder and elbow protectors
The shoulders and elbows are protected by memory-foam inserts with high impact-absorption capability. They remain flexible during normal movement, follow the shape of the joints and allow natural arm flexion.
The soft construction reduces bulk around the shoulders and elbows and avoids rigid plastic connections that could interfere with handlebar control. The protectors are housed inside stretch sleeves and remain close to the protected areas when the correct size is selected.
Both the shoulder and elbow inserts comply with EN 1621-1:2012, Level 1.
Flexible mesh construction
The body and sleeves are made from highly breathable elastic mesh. The fabric follows torso and arm movement and helps stabilise the protective inserts without relying on numerous separate straps.
Its flexible construction supports natural movement when leaning over the handlebars, raising the elbows, rotating the upper body or shifting weight through a corner.
The close fit also reduces fabric gathering and unwanted protector movement while riding.
Ventilation for physically demanding riding
Mesh fabric allows air to circulate continuously around the chest, back and arms. The rigid front and rear panels are also supported by highly ventilated padding, helping release heat from the area between the body and the protector.
This open structure is particularly useful during longer motocross sessions, slow technical enduro and warm-weather riding. Heat and moisture can quickly accumulate underneath protective equipment in these conditions.
The ventilated construction helps reduce thermal discomfort without decreasing coverage of the torso, shoulders or elbows.
Side protection
The side sections include protective elements that can be adjusted using elastic bands. These allow the construction to be adapted to the width of the rider’s torso and help keep the protection close to the body.
Elastic adjustment also allows the armour to follow chest movement during breathing and changes of riding position.
The side components extend torso coverage but do not replace a separately certified hip protector.
Elastic ventilated waist belt
A wide elastic belt with hook-and-loop fastening stabilises the lower section of the armour. It helps bring the back protector closer to the rider’s body and reduces upward movement when leaning forward or standing on the footpegs.
The circumference can be adjusted to suit the rider and the clothing worn underneath. The belt should stabilise the protector without restricting breathing or creating excessive pressure around the waist.
Before riding, check that the chest and back sections do not move significantly during normal upper-body movement.
YKK side zip
The Korazza fastens with a long YKK side zip. Positioning the closure away from the centre of the chest maintains a more continuous front protective surface and reduces pressure from the zip across the middle of the body.
Opening the zip makes the armour easier to put on and allows the protective inserts to be positioned correctly. The side closure does not interfere with shoulder or elbow movement.
Freedom of movement while riding
Segmented panels, soft joint protectors, stretch mesh and elastic adjustment components allow natural movement throughout the upper body.
The rider can change position on the motorcycle, control the handlebars and transfer body weight without unnecessary resistance from rigid components. The construction is suitable for motocross training, racing, enduro and other forms of active off-road riding.
When selecting the size, ensure that the shoulder and elbow inserts remain over the corresponding joints and that the chest and back protectors cover the intended areas.
Protective garment under EN 17092-6:2020
The complete armour complies with EN 17092-6:2020 for specialised motorcycle protective garments. The standard covers characteristics including structural strength, tear resistance, seam strength and the ability of the garment to hold protective inserts correctly positioned.
This standard does not replace the separate certification of the impact protectors. The chest, back, shoulder and elbow components are also assessed under the relevant EN 1621 standards.
