Complete upper-body armour for motocross and enduro
The Acerbis Koert-One Body Armour is a lightweight upper-body protector designed for motocross, enduro and other demanding off-road riding. Integrated protective components cover the chest, back, shoulders and elbows, providing comprehensive coverage without requiring the rider to combine several separate protectors.
The construction combines rigid plastic panels, soft PE foam and flexible mesh sleeves. This provides certified Level 1 impact protection while supporting airflow and maintaining the freedom of movement required for active motorcycle control.

Chest, back, shoulder and elbow protection
The Koert-One protects the main vulnerable areas of the upper body in one connected system. Chest and back panels cover the torso, while individually shaped shoulder and elbow protectors extend coverage to the arms.
Its close-fitting construction helps keep the individual protectors correctly positioned when riding seated, standing on the footpegs or moving actively through technical terrain. The protective components move with the body and do not have to be fitted separately before every ride.
All four protected areas meet Level 1 requirements.
Anatomically shaped chest protection
The front section consists of plastic panels supported by PE foam. The individual components follow the anatomy of the chest, providing the required coverage while adapting more naturally to upper-body movement.
The firmer external sections help distribute direct impact force across a larger surface. The softer foam layer separates the plastic panels from the body, absorbs transferred energy and reduces pressure from rigid edges against the chest.
The chest protector complies with EN 1621-3:2018, Level 1.
Segmented back protector
The rear section uses a system of shaped plates that follow the curvature of the rider’s back. Its segmented construction allows the protector to move more naturally when leaning forward, rotating the torso and changing position on the motorcycle.
Rigid components provide a protective barrier against direct impacts, while the softer underlying layers improve comfort and help stabilise the protector against the back.
The back protector complies with EN 1621-2:2014, Level 1.
Two-piece shoulder and elbow protectors
The shoulder and elbow protectors are divided into two connected sections. This allows the protective components to follow arm flexion and shoulder movement without using a single large and inflexible shell.
The protectors are positioned inside flexible sleeves and stabilised by crossed elastic bands. These help reduce unwanted movement when controlling the handlebars, raising the elbows or shifting body weight.
The shoulder and elbow protectors comply with EN 1621-1:2012, Level 1.
Flexible and breathable mesh sleeves
The sleeves are made from elastic mesh that adapts to the shape of the rider’s arms and supports airflow. Their close fit keeps the shoulder and elbow protectors near the body without bulky rigid connecting components.
The mesh construction helps release heat and moisture during longer training sessions, technical enduro riding and warm-weather use. Its flexibility also maintains freedom of movement when bending the elbows and working with the upper body.
Ventilated chest and back padding
The front and rear plastic panels are supported by highly ventilated padding. The open foam structure promotes airflow between the rider’s body and the rigid protective sections.
The combination of ventilated panels, breathable padding and mesh sleeves helps reduce heat build-up underneath the armour. This improves comfort during physically demanding riding, particularly when standing on the footpegs or moving through technical sections at lower speed.
Double back padding
The rear section contains two layers of padding. One layer is removable and washable, simplifying maintenance and allowing perspiration and dirt accumulated during riding to be removed.
The removable layer can also help adapt the internal space to the rider’s body shape and clothing layers. Before riding, check that every component in use is correctly installed and that the back protector remains securely positioned.
Always follow the care instructions shown on the product label.
Elastic waist belt with double adjustment
A wide elastic and ventilated belt stabilises the lower section of the armour. Double adjustment using elastic components and hook-and-loop fasteners allows the circumference to be adapted to the rider and the clothing worn underneath.
The belt helps keep the back protector close to the body and limits upward movement when leaning forward or standing on the footpegs. Elastic side sections also allow the construction to follow chest movement during breathing.
The belt should stabilise the armour without restricting breathing or normal upper-body movement.
YKK front zip
The protector fastens with a central YKK front zip. The full opening makes it easier to put on and remove without pulling the entire construction over the head.
Once closed, it keeps the front sections close to the body and forms a stable base for the chest protector. The zip is positioned between the protective panels to minimise interference with their placement.
Freedom of movement while riding
Segmented protectors, flexible sleeves and elastic adjustment components support natural shoulder, elbow and torso movement. The rider can change position, control the handlebars and transfer body weight without excessive resistance from rigid connections.
The Koert-One is suitable for motocross training, racing, technical enduro and other off-road activities requiring broad coverage combined with mobility.
When the correct size is selected, the armour can be worn underneath a motocross jersey.
Protective garment for motorcyclists
The overall construction complies with EN 17092-6:2020 for specialised motorcycle protective garments. The standard assesses characteristics including tear resistance, seam and structural-closure strength and the ability of the garment to keep the individual protectors correctly positioned.
This standard does not replace the certification of the individual impact protectors. The chest, back, shoulder and elbow components are therefore assessed separately under the relevant EN 1621 standards.
Further information is available in the protector certification overview.
