Complete upper-body protection for motocross and enduro

The Acerbis P035 Body Armour is an upper-body protector designed for motocross, enduro, mountain biking and other forms of off-road riding. It covers the chest, back, shoulders and elbows, combining rigid protective sections with a flexible mesh jacket that maintains freedom of movement during active riding.

The construction combines the P035 Race chest protector with the P035 protective jacket. This creates an integrated system covering the main vulnerable areas without unnecessary bulk.

Rigid chest protection

The front section uses rigid protective plates that help distribute direct impact energy and create a barrier against flying stones, contact with the motorcycle and surrounding terrain.

Softer internal layers separate the rigid construction from the rider’s body and support a more comfortable fit. The chest protector complies with EN 1621-3:2018, Level 2.

Soft D3O back protector

The back is protected by a flexible D3O insert. It remains pliable during normal movement and follows the shape of the rider’s back, reducing restriction when leaning forward, rotating the torso or changing position on the motorcycle.

During an impact, the material responds by increasing its rigidity and helps absorb and distribute the force. The back protector complies with EN 1621-2:2014, Level 2.

Shoulder and elbow protection

The shoulder and elbow protectors are positioned inside stretch sleeves made from breathable mesh fabric. The close-fitting construction keeps them near the body and limits unwanted movement without requiring bulky rigid connections.

The shoulder and elbow protectors comply with EN 1621-1:2012, Level 2. This provides the same certified protection level across all four protected areas.

Breathable construction for demanding conditions

Flexible nylon mesh and perforated protective sections support airflow around the torso and arms. The construction helps release excess heat that builds up between the rider’s body, armour and jersey during intensive riding.

The ventilation is particularly useful during technical enduro, longer training sessions, racing and warm-weather riding. The close-fitting mesh also maintains a low profile, allowing the armour to be worn underneath a motocross jersey.

Freedom of movement while riding

The combination of a flexible jacket, soft back protector and anatomically positioned protective sections allows natural movement of the shoulders, elbows and torso.

The armour reduces restriction when riding seated, standing on the footpegs or shifting body weight through corners. The soft sections follow the body, while the rigid front plates remain correctly positioned across the chest.

Adjustable fit

Adjustable shoulder straps with hook-and-loop closures allow the height and position of the front and rear protectors to be adapted. Side buckles adjust the circumference around the torso and help keep the protective sections close to the body.

Correctly adjusted armour should remain stable during movement without restricting breathing, arm movement or normal upper-body flexibility.

Front zip and side buckles

A front zip makes the mesh jacket easier to put on and remove. Side quick-release buckles allow the rigid chest section to be opened and adjusted separately.

This construction simplifies handling and allows the selected strap length to remain set between riding sessions.

Neck-brace compatibility

The low-profile design around the shoulders and upper chest allows the armour to be combined with a suitable neck brace.

The helmet, neck brace and body armour should be tried on together. The individual components should not push against one another or restrict normal head movement.
