INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

July 2026 will be a celebration for motorsport fans. The Czech Republic will host two events of the highest world level, confirming our excellent reputation as an organiser.

  • Junior World Championship (Jinín, 4-5 July): The venue near Strakonice has been modernised so it can welcome the biggest talents on the planet in the 65, 85 and 125 cc categories. This event is a prestigious showcase of professional commitment comparable to the senior categories. It also shows that top-level equipment for juniors is an absolute foundation for achieving world-class times on technically demanding tracks.
  • MXGP of Czech Republic (Loket, 25-26 July): A traditional stop at the Loket Serpentines as the 14th round of the World Championship. The absolute elite of the MXGP and MX2 classes is expected to take part. On Saturday evening, after practice and qualifying, the traditional party will take place at the venue and is included in the ticket price.

MEFO.CZ recommends and advises

  • For all world events under the FIM, riders must have a helmet with FRHPhe-02 homologation.

The MMCR is characterised by strong competition, where top names from the domestic scene fight for the podium. The wide range of surfaces requires the preparation of the bike and the choice of tires to always be adapted to the specific track conditions. This applies to professionals as well as enthusiasts looking for sporting enjoyment.

REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND AMATEUR SERIES

If you are not aiming for a national title but still want to enjoy proper racing, regional motocross races offer a great atmosphere and quality organisation.

  1. Motul Cup (Central Bohemia): A series known for its professionalism. This year it will visit, for example, Stříbro (14 June) and Benátky nad Jizerou (13 September). Entry fees for children in the 65 and 85 cc classes remain at the subsidised level of CZK 1,000 including insurance.
  2. JiroMoto Vysočina Cup: A very popular series where starting lists are often full weeks in advance. It begins on 11 April in Třemošnice and ends there on 19 September.
  3. MX tratě: A popular series in the Vysočina region with 7 events. It starts on 4 April in Vranov and ends on 10 October in Karlín.
  4. South Bohemian Regional Championship: The schedule includes 8 races. It starts on 5 April in Bělčice, continues through Netolice, Horažďovice, Kunžak, Bělčice and Votice, and finishes on 11 October in Pacov.

During races, stones and mud fly everywhere, so it pays to invest in lever guards that will not give way even to branches and will protect your levers.

CHILDREN'S MOTOCROSS RACES AND THE JUNIOR SCENE

Children's motocross races are a fixed part of the calendar both within MMCR Junior and in regional cups. In addition to the World Championship in Jinín, young riders can look forward to the MMCR Junior series or Brisk MX Kids - OMCR-PCR. We will welcome the world's junior elite in Jinín on 4-5 July 2026; 280 riders from 40 countries are registered, so there is plenty to look forward to.

Safety tip for parents: Regularly check not only the condition of the bike, but also the helmets and protectors.

MEFO ADVISES

Do not forget to visit our store right next to the venue. A limited edition MEFO BEER and a limited edition of T-shirts for spectators and fans will be available.

TECHNICAL PREPARATION AND USEFUL TIPS

All motocross races start in the workshop. In 2026, great emphasis is placed on digitalisation. Most organisers use the MyResult.cz portal for online registration and the ChronoRace app for real-time timing.

  • Chip preparation: Always attach the chip to clean and degreased plastic. Metal parts (such as handlebars or the frame) absorb the signal, so the chip should never be placed there.
  • Paddock service: Always carry basic spare parts with you. Quality equipment can save your racing weekend.
  • Punctures: Punctures are common on rocky tracks. If you do not use mousse (foam insert instead of an inner tube), keep reinforced inner tubes for every terrain in reserve.

INTERESTING FACT FROM HISTORY:

Did you know that the track in Holice (today the Michael Špaček Track) hosted its first major race back in September 1955? Back then, 60 riders raced there on machines such as the Jawa 250, and the winning time would today only be enough for very slow hobby riders. Today the track is 1,955 metres long and has a modern irrigation system.

FINAL RECOMMENDATION

The 2026 season will be intense and full of adrenaline. If you want to succeed, do not underestimate early registration - especially in popular hobby series, places on the starting grid disappear within hours of entries opening. And if you are not racing, at least go and cheer in Loket or Jinín; it will be worth it.
