In 1973, enduro rider Franco Acerbis founded the company that bears his name and began producing plastic parts for motorcycles. In 1980, he began to invent larger motorcycle tanks. Over the years, the company focused on complete motorcycle equipment and developed other plastic parts for motorcycles. Acerbis offers quality, precision, innovative design, top-notch workmanship for both racers and hobby riders.

On its 50th anniversary, Acerbis received its first entry in the Guinness Book of Records for covering a distance of 4,183.8 kilometers from Albino to the North Cape, the longest distance an ICE vehicle has covered without refueling.

The Acerbis AC50 project (50th anniversary of the Italian motorcycle parts specialist) led to the construction of the largest motorcycle fuel tank. The 108-liter tank, designed and manufactured in-house, allowed the company to cover the distance from Albino, Italy, to the North Cape, Norway.
