MEFO Mousse gel is a special lubricant designed for the assembly and regular maintenance of mousse-type foam fillings. When used correctly, it creates a slippery film between the mousse and the tire, which reduces friction, helps to limit overheating and protects the mousse from excessive wear.

The gel has a suitable consistency for easy application and good adhesion to the mousse surface. It is used both during initial assembly and for subsequent maintenance and relubrication during use. The gel consists of 100% silicone oil and has a temperature resistance of -40 °C to +220 °C.

Regular lubrication is very important for mousse. Dry mousse can start to crumble, lose elasticity and its service life is significantly reduced. MEFO Mousse must be lubricated with a gel of the same brand, i.e. the original MEFO Mousse gel. If another lubricant or gel of another brand is used, any claim may not be accepted.

MEFO Mousse gel is suitable for all MEFO Mousse variants and is ideal for riders, workshops and racing teams who want to ensure the proper function and the longest possible lifespan of the foam padding.

What is MEFO Mousse gel used for?

MEFO Mousse gel is used to lubricate mousse foam fillings during assembly and subsequent maintenance. It reduces friction between the mousse and the tire and helps extend the life of the filling.

Is it necessary to lubricate the mousse?

Yes. The mousse must be sufficiently lubricated. Without regular lubrication, it can overheat, crumble, lose elasticity and wear out faster.

When is MEFO Mousse gel used?

It is used when first installing the mousse in the tire and also during subsequent maintenance or relubrication during use so that the mousse is always lubricated - "slippery as a snail".

Why use original MEFO Mousse gel?

MEFO Mousse must be lubricated with the same brand of gel, i.e. original MEFO Mousse gel. If a different lubricant or gel of another brand is used, any claim may not be accepted.

Is the gel suitable for all MEFO Mousses?

Yes. MEFO Mousse gel is suitable for all variants of MEFO Mousse foam fillings.

Can I use a different gel or lubricant?

We do not recommend it. For proper function, longer service life and recognition of any complaints, it is necessary to use the original MEFO Mousse gel.

What happens if the mousse is not lubricated enough?

Dry or poorly lubricated mousse can heat up more, wear out faster, start to crumble and lose its properties.
