Goldfren 001 AD brake pads use a compound developed mainly for general road riding. They provide smooth braking, low brake-disc wear and good service life. The availability of other compounds depends on the specific brake pad shape.

What brake pads are best for enduro?
For most enduro riders, we recommend sintered compounds that provide high performance even in mud, water and difficult terrain.

What pads to choose for hard enduro?
For hard enduro, compounds with high resistance to overheating and wear, such as Goldfren S33 or K5-LX, are ideal.

What pads do motocross racers use?
Race riders most often choose compounds with maximum braking effect and fast response, such as Goldfren S33.

How long do brake pads last in enduro?
The service life depends on the riding style, terrain and weather conditions. Riding in mud and sand wears out the pads significantly faster.

Are sintered pads suitable for mud and water?
Yes. Sintered pads maintain high braking performance even in wet conditions and are among the most popular choices for enduro and motocross.

When do you need to replace the pads?
If the friction material is almost worn out or the braking effect is significantly reduced, we recommend immediate replacement.

Do I need to break in the new brake pads?
Yes. After installation, we recommend braking smoothly for the first few rides so that the pads fit properly on the brake disc.

Can worn pads damage the disc?
Yes. Driving with excessively worn pads can damage the brake disc and increase repair costs.

Should you replace only the pads or the disc as well?
If the brake disc is wavy, cracked or below the minimum prescribed thickness, it is recommended to replace it at the same time as the pads.
